Rainforest/Zoo

RAINFOREST:
We made the fridge into the rainforest layers to create a rainforest scene with rainforest animals.
We brainstormed animals that would live in the rainforest and how they survive, live, eat and stay in their habitat.

We wrote the names of the layers on cardboard to tape by our rainforest.

We watched a video about the rainforest.

Rainforest tree bingo!

We acted like different rainforest animals and crawled from the Rainforest floor up to the understory, canopy, and emergent.

Lego fun!

MUSIC:
We sang about Cinco De Mayo, played the xylophone stair and read "5 Little Ducks" in Spanish.

Toucan art

"What if You had an Animal Tongue?" was a great book to discover diverse animal tongues and way animals eat.

RAINFOREST ART PROJECTS: We worked really hard cutting, coloring and creating our own rainforests. We placed animals on the correct layer of the rainforest, made trees, and vines.

Rainforest Math and BINGO.

Sloths were our rainforest art project today!
Number by number was a tricky task for us. We had to remember to go slow and go to each number.

SECOND STEPS:
How to play with others and being invited to play.

A is for alligator.

Writing on the dry erase board and math books was great practice for fine motor, writing and counting.

Rainforest Patterning: we each took turns patterning Rainforest animals.

Rainforest Puzzle Pieces Paper: we worked really hard putting the pieces from the puzzle together.

In the big room, we played family.

RAINFOREST RAIN STICKS:
Adding beans and rice gave our rain sticks a nice sound.

RAINFOREST WORDS WRITING:
Ryan brought a car for show -n-tell.

We made art on CDs and sculpture cardboard pieces.
