"Fintastic" Fish Room

  This week we introduced the theme "Pets". We brainstormed what animals can be pets, what pets need, where pets live, and how to care of pets.  SECOND STEPS: Julia came today and we discussed focusing on watching the person talking.  We used shapes to make different animals.  In music, we played the triangles.  We worked on cutting pets out to make a pet collage. We talked about what a pet is, what pet we wish we had and what we would name that pet. Olivia, Matthew, Roman and Ryan want a dog and Shawn wants a hamster!  Ms. Erin read " The Pet Shop ".  In art, we were mixing magicians. We used red, yellow and blue to make new colors!  "Fish Room Pet Shop" opened up today! We brainstormed what a pet is, what pets needs, where you go to buy pet supplies and how you take care of pets.  Shawn got a hamster.  Olivia bought a pet cat.  We discussed the importance of a salesperson and how they help the customer.  In math, we used bead...

Fun times on the gym scooters!  Matthew and Olivia used wiki sticks to make shapes.  We counted how many people are in our families and we decorated them.  Ms. Michelle is star of the week. She talked about her family pictures and favorite things. We got to ask her questions. We will be starting student of the week next week! Olivia used crazy scissors to practice cutting!  Fish Friends!  The fish friends put  h appy faces on the letter "H". We sequenced the " Napping House ". We used words: 1st, next, then, last, etc. Ms. Erin taught us a song to sing learning the letter sounds: Alphardy  In math, we used shapes to make a house. We practiced our double adjectives and prepositions.
