Farm, part 1
FARM: What do we know about farm animals and the farm? We brainstormed lots of ideas.
Dancing is always good for the soul!
Farmer patterns: we used people connectors to make farmer patterns.
"Pete the Cat and 5 Little Bunnies" was a cute book, after we each made bunny ears!
Farm animal and bug patterns and sorting:
Our seeds are growing! We cut and made a seed sequence to discover our beans/plants/flowers grow.
Patterns, play dough and counting!
"What is your favorite farm animal?" was our question of the day. We took turns asking each other what our favorite farm animals were.
ART: Today was an art party in the art room! We played with play dough, moon sand and made dot pictures.
JOURNALS: We drew our favorite farm animals.
In math, we played the game "memory".
Ask me to sing the "one" song!
We did the bunny hop dance for movement time.
"Over, under, below, above, beside, between and next to" were all prepositions we worked on with Easter pictures.
"Pete The Cat's 5 Little Bunnies" was a cute book!
Patterning worms for math.
We discussed how to be a good friend and share. We brainstormed different ways we can take turns with something or even trade. We talked about breathing for a minute and just taking a second to think.
"The Little Red Hen" was our book this week. It talked about how the hen felt when nobody would help her, what she made and the sequence of making the bread.
We put easter pictures in an easter basket.
Marbling egg art was fun!
Mat man became a bunny!
Hippity hop, bunny dance was fun!
Being outside was so nice! We even found a robin egg! We moved it to a safe place outside the playground fence.
Each of us made our own farm pictures.
After we read "The Turkey's Easter", we made bunny shadows.
We had an EGGCELLENT morning! =)
We dyed easter eggs, went on several easter egg hunts and played a "shake the egg" game! Ms. Lisa placed various items in the plastic eggs and we predicted what was in them, shook them and opened them up to see what the items were inside.
It's Friday!
We described the egg.
We smelled vinegar.
