We placed white carnations in colored water. What will happen? This week we will follow our flowers to see what will happen to each carination. Will they turn colors? Die? Wilt?
We practiced writing, cutting and sounding out words this week. We worked very hard on all of these skills. We also counted, glued numbers in order and wrote weather words by the sounds of letters.

"Mouse Paint" was the book we read followed by painting/mixing with primary colors to see what colors we could make.
"What's your favorite color?" was the question on Monday. We practiced asking each other this question to prepare for an art project this afternoon.

The carination experiment is very interesting as we checked out each flower and saw what was happening to them. The purple water wasn't going into the flower, so that was still white, which was a mystery to us!
