Abilities day and transportation continued
SCOOTER RACES! We practiced "faster than and slower than/fastest and slowest" today when we raced scooters. We were all winners!
The question of the day was "Have you been on a boat or an airplane?" We had to answer and ask our friends.
JOURNALS: Guess what is in the box? We drew our predictions on what we thought would be in the box. We had to listen for sounds, feel how heavy the box was, and use other senses to make our guesses.
It was ...
a helicopter!
ABITILIES DAY:
It was nice seeing all the diverse ways people can get around and help.
MUSIC: We used eggs and drums to make music!
Turtle tummy time is a great relaxing way to get music started.
We listened to letter sounds and we had to guess the letter.
ART:
We made sculptures out of modeling clay, pipe cleaners and beads.
Dino dig was fun!
Transportation patterns was our circle time activity.
Racing cars was conversational language. We practiced using the words "further then" and "furthest" by making predictions and then racing our cars.
We decorated and made paper airplanes then we raced them! We reviewed some of our comparative and superlative language structures.
Watching planes and jets was fun!
In centers we painted cars and painted airplanes.
Gravel and trucks in the sensory table is always fun and we have to practice working together!
"The Little Engine that Could"
St. Patrick's Day collages! Good cutting practice!
We practiced using "faster then and fastest" today when we raced boats.
We watched videos of different boats. We saw how they look inside, what they need to move and how you may use the boat.
MATH: We did color by numbers.
We sorted transportation vehicles and made the ocean with boats.
HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!
We colored St. Patrick's day pictures, talked about the month of March and what today is, and made a leprechaun trap.
He was to fast and we didn't catch him but he did some silly things!
In math we worked on syllables, colored a rainbow following shapes and match 2D shapes.
