THEME: Fire week

Monday was our last day the Fish room pet shop was open. We stocked up on a lot of pets! We also started learning about "fire safety" this week.

Ryan and Olivia played with a magnetic fire board.
3 cuties sitting in trucks.

We are fast at running and pushing trucks!

In math, we traced the number 3 and practiced our one to one correspondence.

Ms. Julianne did a virtual music today.

Ms. Erin brought in her husband's fireman helmet, pants, and jacket. We got to try them on!

We took a tour of a fire house and watched some videos on fires and fire safety.

Practicing making the letter C and T was easy for us!

We worked on cutting, stop, drop and roll sequencing and hot vs. cold items.

We also did a coloring directions activity.

We made a firetruck too! We practiced using our sequencing words to put together a fire truck.  We were then given the materials and had to do it on our own.

In math, we rolled the dice and added that many dots to the dog.

Finger painting is always fun!

Hot vs cold items-great practice for categories!

SECOND STEPS:  we talked about focusing on who is talking and what we should be doing. If someone says "line up" we discussed "Self talk" and how we should focus on lining up.

The big room was a good time!

Matthew is star of the week.

This month's character edu trait is "Friendly"- we brainstormed ways to be a good friend and how we can ask friends to play and help. This afternoon we read "The Bad Apple" and how we can be a good friend.

We loved having the fire fighters visit.

Below you will see pictures of us practicing dialing 9-1-1 and going to the scene to take care of the fire

Ryan's show n tell was tricky, he brought in family pictures and Shawn brought in a truck.

Matthew built a cool 2 person lego guy!
Can you believe it's already mid October!? We counted how many days until Halloween!

The fire week scavenger hunt was fun. We went around the school inside and outside to see what we could find regarding fire safety.

This afternoon we put "C" words on the letter "C".

"Fred the Firefighter" was a good book about helping people in a fire. We looked at ways to identify a fire and what we should do if there's a fire.

Have a good weekend!
