Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
We finished our week of back to school/friendship. Here are activities from Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Roman worked hard on matching numbers to the correct number of objects.
We did pretty good with one to one correspondence in math. We had to count the items and match to a number. We are practicing looking at an amount and recognizing how many without repetitively counting.
The fish room did a shared writing today. We took turns telling each other our favorite things.
The gym is always fun with the otters!
We practiced counting and identifying how many fish.
Choo Choo Choo Choo Up the Railroad track
Cutting is a skill we will work on all year. Today we cut shapes and lines!
We practiced rhyming again today. The Fish friends are doing pretty good!
Ms. Erin introduced "characters" "problem" and "what happened at the end" boards. We walked through the book Rainbow Fish again today and reviewed the characters, the problem and what happened at the end!
THURSDAY:
At circle we charted what fruit we each liked then we counted which fruit had the most.
Fruit salad day! Today we brought in fruit to make fruit salad. We peeled, chopped, and stirred the fruit to make a yummy salad.
In big room, we built with big blocks. We worked as a team and built a tall tower.
Roman measured the firetruck with the blocks.
In math, we sorted, counted and graphed colored goldfish. Which color had the most? Which color had the least?
Matthew was excited to play with the cars and car ramps.
Duplo blocks are always fun!
We got to listen to "Rainbow Fish" on the "big screen" today. We practiced talking about the characters, problem, and what happened at the end.
FRIDAY:
Fun Friday! We always start out with legos on Friday mornings.
Shawn built a human,
Roman built a house and Olivia had fun building too.
We reviewed the calendar, month of September, and the days of the week. We counted to 3 since today is the 3rd of September.
After circle, we introduced show-n-tell by reading the book "Show-n-Tell". Each student will have a turn to bring an item in from home to show friends. *More information to soon!*
