Wed, Thursday and Friday-Family and Babies
As we continue to learn about family and baby, we learned what would be in a diaper bag. Ms. Erin showed us baby food, burp cloth, diapers, bottles and rattles.
We brainstormed what babies would need.We continued to learn about the letter F. We got to use the dobbers to dob the letter F.
Ms. Lexi showed us her poster today. We asked her a lot of good questions.
"What Baby Needs" was a good book telling us what a baby needs and how to take care of a baby.
In math, we counted beads onto the correct number on the pipe cleaner.
The otters are a fun group of kids to play with. We bounce balls and ride scooters. We are beginning to learn these friends' names and ask them to play.
We washed babies at centers.
The fish room friends were good at acting "Goldilocks and the 3 Bears"!
Outside we played dinosaur with friends.
THURSDAY:
Shawn built a cool person tower and Olivia found the letters in her name on blocks.
SECOND STEPS: Today we spoke about making people feel welcome.
We worked on writing our names, cutting, Goldilocks sequencing and the number "1" worksheets this morning.
"Alligator Baby" was a funny book about babies. We compared human babies to animal babies.
Ff was an easy letter to write. Some of us drew F pictures on the back of our sheet.
It's Friday! We sang the months and days of the week songs and counted up to 17!
SHOW-N-TELL: Roman, Matthew and Olivia brought show n tell today. Our friends did a great job asking questions to guess their show-n-tell item!
Ask me what each friend brought.
"Asking friends to play": Today we practiced asking "can I play?" "Who do you want to be?" "Let's play birthday party." Practicing asking questions and role playing is a big part of playing. This will be especially important as we join our buddy class.
In math we practiced asking the questions "what kind of erasers do you want?" and "How many _____ erasers do you want?"
We enjoyed sequencing the pages of the Goldilocks book and gluing "F" words on the letter "F". We had to figure out what happened 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. We also had to listen for the beginning /f/ sound.
HAVE A GOOD WEEKEND!
